WE ACCEPT ADULT FICTION & NON-FICTION

Please follow our guidelines below.

Thank you for your interest in Captivate Press and for sharing your work with us.

We are accepting manuscripts from writers in the U.S. and Canada only, and are particularly interested in writers who have an advance social media presence.

Please do not send Sci-fi, Smutty Romance, or Thrillers.

We accept un-agented submissions. We do not require exclusive submissions. Please be sure that your manuscript is properly formatted according to basic manuscript format guidelines.

Guidelines:

Adult Fiction Word Count 75,000-90,000
Adult Non-fiction Word Count 60,000 – 80,000
Email submissions only.
In Subject Line Include: Submission | Title | Name
Please send the first 3 chapters ONLY. DO NOT PASTE the 3 chapters into the email. We will only accept an attachment (.pdf preferred, .word accepted.)
Your cover email must Include 2 comparable titles published within the last 5 years, writing-related professional organizations with which you are a member; social media account handles, author website link, and any other information you think relevant to your ability to market and help in the success of your title.
If you do not hear a response from us within 6 months, we had to pass. NOTE: we are a small press and only accept a small number of new authors each year.
